Published supplier and venue pages are meant to be found. Name, suburb, categories, and description are public. Phone, email, and street address are shown only if you ticked those boxes on the list-your-business form (the operator can still change this before publish). We do not publish source image URLs from spreadsheets.
If you send the contact form, we store your name, email, and message so we can process it. If you list your business, we also store the contact details and public-display choices you submitted. There is no marketing list in this version, and we do not send automated emails. We do not sell this information.
To stop the forms being flooded, we cap how many messages one connection can send in an hour (currently five). To do that we do not save your IP address. We scramble it with a secret key into a one-way code (a hash) that cannot be turned back into the IP. The code also changes each calendar month, so it is not a lasting identifier. We only use it to enforce that cap — not for marketing, tracking, or advertising.
Favourites are stored in your browser only. We cannot see your shortlist.
This is a children’s event directory. We ask listing owners, and we enforce on review:
If a listing or image should come down, email theshiresource.events@gmail.com. We aim to unpublish the same day.
Public pages do not require an account. Admin sign-in uses session cookies for the operator only. We do not use advertising cookies in this version.
To correct or delete an enquiry you sent, email theshiresource.events@gmail.com. Listing owners can ask us to update or unpublish a page the same way.
